CACRAO is dedicated to the advancement of higher education in its fullest and broadest aspects; the promotion of professional development of its members; the fostering of a spirit of unity, cooperation and exchange of ideas through annual meetings, committee activities, workshops, and relationships with the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, The American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, and their professional associations.
CACRAO membership is institutional. Any institution of higher education in North or South Carolina may apply for membership. Any officer or employee of a member institution who is interested in the work of the Association is encouraged to attend meetings and participate in discussions.

History CACRAO was organized in 1970 through the union of the North Carolina Chapter and the South Carolina Chapter of the national organization (AACRAO). Affiliation CACRAO is affiliated with the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions officers (SACRAO) and with the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). Constitution & By-Laws Admission to full or associate membership hereafter shall be by application to the Executive Committee. | Membership More than 1,200 persons employed in the areas of admissions, registration, and records hold membership in CACRAO. Click here. Association Financing CACRAO is primarily funded by annual membership dues per member institution. CACRAO receives some funding from member and exhibitor registration fees at its annual meeting. Some funds are obtained through CACRAO sponsored activities.
