CACRAO is dedicated to the advancement of higher education in its fullest and broadest aspects; the promotion of professional development of its members; the fostering of a spirit of unity, cooperation and exchange of ideas through annual meetings, committee activities, workshops, and relationships with the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, The American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, and their professional associations.
CACRAO membership is institutional. Any institution of higher education in North or South Carolina may apply for membership. Any officer or employee of a member institution who is interested in the work of the Association is encouraged to attend meetings and participate in discussions.News & Events:

College Application Week
In an effort to further expand statewide college access, the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) and CACRAO are pleased to announce that the 2008 North Carolina College Application Week is November 10-14, 2008. The goal of the NC College Application Week is to provide every graduating high school senior the opportunity to apply to college online using CFNC.org. However, the focus is placed on first-generation students and students who may not otherwise apply to college.
In 2006, 15 high schools participated in the event and over 900 students submitted online college applications. This past year, the event was expanded to include over 100 high schools across the state which resulted in more than 12,800 North Carolina students applying to college online, submitting over 21,400 applications.
During the College Application Week event, students are encouraged to apply to at least one college on CFNC.org. This initiative is made possible because of CFNC.org, the comprehensive statewide college access portal with applications accepted by all 110 colleges and universities in North Carolina.
We welcome you to join us as a volunteer during the 2008 event! Volunteers can greet and sign-in students, assist students with the completion of CFNC online college applications, or distribute information about financial aid opportunities. To register to be a volunteer, please go to the CFNC.org website, click on “Register for CFNC Events” and then click on “Volunteer Registration - 2008 College App Week.”
The list of high schools participating in the 2008 College Application Week event will be available to volunteers later this summer.
