If your institution is not listed as one of the schools attending ALL of the Ed-Op programs, you must request an invitation
in advance from the appropriate Guidance Counselor in order to participate in the program.
If you anticipate being late or have to cancel a program you should contact the appropriate guidance
counselor as soon as possible.
All institutional representatives indicating they will attend a program should ARRIVE ON TIME AND STAY UNTIL THE PROGRAM IS SCHEDULED TO END.
Unless otherwise
stated in the schedule, all programs require the representatives to bring a table and identifying sign.
All institutional representatives should have an adequate supply of materials to give to
students.
Literature as well as information request cards should be available for distribution.
All institutional representatives should abide by the following statement: Statement of
Principles of Good Practice for Admissions Officers
1. Representatives should at all times conduct themselves in a manner reflecting the dignity of their profession and of the institution
they represent. A professional demeanor should be maintained with both students and colleagues during an Ed-Op program or an individual visit to a school. At all times, a college representative
should treat interview forms and any personal data regarding students as confidential information.
2. When possible, representatives should make suitable arrangements in advance for
interviewing or gaining information about prospective students. In view of the problems experienced by high schools in scheduling student interviews on days other than Ed-Op program, it is
desirable to avoid disruption of the students academic program at the high school level except in cases of absolute necessity. If a representative visits a high school on occasion other than an
Ed-Op program, students will be seen only upon suggestion and at the invitation of the guidance counselor.
