The workshop is for admissions counselors with less than one year of admission experience. It will provide participants an opportunity to develop teamwork skills and acquire tools and knowledge that will help them to be effective and productive admission professionals. This year’s workshop promises to be more exciting and fun than ever. Click here for this year's agenda.

Check-in for the workshop will be on Monday, July 28th from 10 AM to 1 PM. At check-in, participants will receive their room assignment, parking permit, and workshop materials. Lunch will be provided during the check-in period. The opening session of the workshop will be at 1:15 PM on the 28th. The workshop will conclude at noon on Wednesday, July 30th. Some of the topics to be discussed during the workshop are:

    o Public speaking and school presentations
    o Developing effective school counselor relations
    o Dealing with issues of diversity
    o Recruitment travel
    o Making most of high school private visits
    o Planning open house and other special programs
    o Mentoring
    o Careers in the admissions and enrollment management profession


The registration fee for the workshop is only $235 for residents and $125 for commuters. It will include most meals during the workshop, lodging, and workshop materials.

The deadline to register for the workshop is Friday, July 14th. To register for the conference, you may complete the registration form on the CACRAO website. If you are completing the registration form for someone who will not be hired until a later time, please leave the name fields on the registration form empty.
