North Strand Community Home Information
North Strand Community Home (NSCH) offers emergency and transitional housing for families with children, veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness. They support residents in obtaining independence and re-entering the community by delivering essential physical needs, life skills instruction, counseling services, case management, and holistic wellness. Their goal is to address the root causes of homelessness, helping break cycles of poverty and housing instability while assisting residents in finding permanent housing and employment.
In 2025 alone, they provided 3,417 nights of shelter to 19 families, including 47 children and 4 veterans. Beyond the numbers, their success is evidenced by the inspiring stories of independence from former residents who remain engaged members of the community.
